The short answer
For a custom-designed, custom-coded site, expect roughly $1,500–$2,500 CAD for a single landing page and $4,000–$8,000 CAD for a multi-page business site. Those are CineArtful's own published ranges, not a market average — we think a concrete reference point is more useful than “it depends,” but your quote will depend on scope. E-commerce builds sit higher, at $4,000–$12,000 CAD.
What actually drives the price
- Number of pages. A single landing page and a six-page site are different projects. Each additional page needs design, content structure, and testing.
- Custom vs. template. Templates are cheaper up front, but they come with the same layout as everyone else and often carry heavy plugins that slow the site down. Custom builds cost more and load faster.
- Features and integrations. Booking, e-commerce checkout, inventory, CRM connections, and chatbots all add scope.
- Motion and design depth. Scroll animation, page transitions, and bespoke visuals take design and engineering time.
- Content and SEO. Whether you supply the copy, and how much on-page SEO is built in, changes the total.
The cost after launch
A website isn't a one-time purchase. Budget for hosting, domain renewal, and ongoing updates. If you want someone else to handle content changes, performance monitoring, and small builds, our Care Retainer is $800–$1,500 CAD per month. If you want the site to bring in traffic, add SEO: a one-time technical audit is $700–$1,200 CAD, and Local SEO retainers start at $450 CAD per month.
How to compare quotes from Vancouver studios
- —Ask exactly how many pages and revisions are included.
- —Ask whether the site is custom-coded or built from a template, and what it runs on.
- —Ask what the site's mobile load time looks like — and how they measure it.
- —Ask what's included for SEO and local search, not just “SEO-friendly.”
- —Ask what ongoing costs look like in year two.

Quick answers
+What's the cheapest way to get a professional website in Vancouver?
A single, well-designed landing page. Our Landing Page Sprint is $1,500–$2,500 CAD and ships in about a week, which is often enough for a launch or a service business just getting started online.
+Why do website prices vary so much?
Scope (pages, features, integrations), who designs it, whether it's custom-coded or template-based, and how much ongoing work is bundled in all drive cost. A one-page site and an e-commerce build are different products.
+Are there ongoing costs after launch?
Usually, yes: hosting, domain renewal, and updates. We offer a Care Retainer at $800–$1,500 CAD per month covering content updates, performance monitoring, and small builds.
